John S. Bell LL.B
John joined the firm as an apprentice in 1993 following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather before him, both of whom served their legal careers with Bigger & Strahan from apprenticeship through to retirement.
John has an honours degree in law and has completed professional legal practice exams both for England and Wales and in Northern Ireland at the IPLS at Queens University Belfast.
He was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors of the Supreme Court of Judicature of Northern Ireland in 1995 and became a partner in 2003.
Since 2007 John has been a visiting Tutor at the IPLS at Queens. He has completed the QUB certificate in Commercial Conveyancing and is a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers and oversees and conducts the firms personal injury work along with Philip Gordon.
He has considerable experience in all types of property transactions both residential and commercial.
John has a broad range of experience in general legal practice and particular interest in:
- Personal injury litigation;
- Corporate & business acquisitions and disposals;
- Commercial property transactions;
- Liquor licensing;
- Residential property; and
- Wills & Probate.
Other areas of expertise include renewable energy including option licences and leases.
